23rd Thing

So I won't be finishing the things by the deadline which is in about 5 minutes. I have to be at work in the morning and am very sleepy. Hopefully, I will come back to this here blog and finish it soon. There is a lot of good info collected here. Thanks SAPL 23 Things Team. You worked really hard on this. Where did you find the time??? I've attempted to finish this (to no avail) on a Saturday night when I should have been sleeping or chillaxing with my homies. So it was said that we could do this at work? Yeah, that is funny! What time did you have in mind? I did work on it literally at work if you count my break and at lunch and after work. I would totally do this type of thing again, but I need more incentive. Perhaps if we were threatened...I work well under pressure.

#11 My Favorite Thing

Goodreads is wonderful! Love it. I used to write down all the books I wanted to read in a notebook, now I can just save them on my goodreads account. Also, I have found a bunch of books to read I otherwise would not have looked out. Five stars.

#9 RSS Feeds

What the h. e. double hockey sticks is so great about RSS? I cannot figure it out. Why can't I just get an email? Please answer me. Now, not only do I have to look at my gmail account, I have to also look at my reader account! errr. I already get wowbrary emails on Saturdays, so now that I've subscribed to the wowbrary RSS feed, I will be updadted every 5 seconds instead. Lame.

More FlickEr "Fun" (Thing # 6)

Still not sure if I'm sold on the whole flickr thing. I think I like photobucket more. It's like the whole Mac vs. PC thing. I am definitely a PC person. So, the mashups are neat if you take the time to figure out the system but I probably won't use it again anytime soon. Once again--too techie.

RSS feeds me too much info (Thing #8)

I created a Google Reader account a few months back but I never got into it. It seems like way way too much information. I watch the news at night, read the paper when I have the time, and listen to NPR. I would rather stick to that then get all my news in one place. I like going to actual websites and finding things there. Call me a creature of habit or old fashioned. RSS is a good idea in theory only.
